CHRISTMAS CAROLING CHORAL CAMP!
(A Dickens style caroling experience for the whole family!)

ABOUT THE CLASS:
In this camp, participants will have the chance to rehearse and put together a program of acapella Christmas carols along with a handful of traditional hymns to present to the community in just two nights culminating in a night of Christmas caroling. With the guidance of the director, the choir will go through a two-day intensive in choral singing, the foundations of a cappella singing, and shaping an ensemble. Participants should be prepared to familiarize themselves with their parts ahead of the camp and be comfortable with the idea of singing in four-part harmony. Excellent family experience!

$50 each person or $100 per family. Please add two products to cart if more than one family member is planning to participate.

MAIN STAGE PRODUCTIONS

Do you aspire to be on stage in Community Theater, Professional Theater, Regional Theater or even Broadway? Main Stage is our intensive pre-professional educational performing arts program for all ages and abilities. This is a great place to level up to if you are looking for an intensive, high quality performing arts experience, but are not yet ready for Community Theater or higher level. This is an audition entry production. Not all who audition may be cast. You must be enrolled in a class in our current session in order to audition.

SPOTLIGHT ACADEMY

SSOPA Austin is delighted to introduce our very own Pre-Professional Company!

Our SPOTLIGHT ACADEMY features an select group of students (audition entry) that will take part in a school year-long training program (Sept-May) that offers students the opportunity to learn, grow and compete at a higher level than our singular class training and shows allow. Students must be entering 9th grade or in their High School years in order to qualify. We will start with a Musical Theater track and work towards offering Dance, Voice, Acting, and Film tracks as well. We are also moving towards partnering with accredited academic programs that ensure that students can use the work we do at SOPA Austin towards their high school diplomas.

SPOTLIGHT ACADEMY is an audition entry program. We will take a select number of SOPA Austin students. Being enrolled in SPOTLIGHT will count as an enrolled class for Fall, Winter and Spring sessions for the 2024/2025 Season when auditioning for Main Stage Productions.

SPOTLIGHT ACADEMY students will perform one Full Musical Production, a Student Directed One Act (potentially not until 2025/2026), and one performing arts revue per school year. They will also have excellent leadership opportunities within the Academy and within SOPA Austin’s other programs.

STUDENT PRODUCTIONS

Ready to level up from after-school theatre arts training program and get a taste of what it takes to be in the world of fully produced productions? Student Productions are the perfect place for you! We take a select number of students and put them through all the training, skill building and steps that it takes to get into a Main Stage Production and more! This is an excellent place to be if you would like to try out different types of characters, experience lead roles, and level up from where you started! This program is for ages 7-17, so students have a much higher chance of being cast in the roles they have been working towards! We invite all abilities!

COMMUNITY THEATER

We are thrilled to announce our first Community Theater Production of Little Women. This is an audition entry production. There are no required classes or mandatory extras. We encourage those who have performed with other companies to audition. This production will be cast age appropriately.

RISING STARS

Looking for a fun, high energy, place to learn the inner workings of theater all while having the chance to be in amazing shows? RISING STARS is the place for you! Our after-school theater arts training program for ages 6-16 provides a safe, inclusive space for students to gather and grow. This 90 min weekly program will produce shortened versions of full musicals! We invite all abilities! This program does not require any parent participation or have any added requirements. Come grow your skill set and build your confidence without the intensity of our Student Productions or Main Stage.

We offer a wide assortment of classes, courses, workshops, masterclasses and camps for ages 3 and up, from Step 1 (Core/Beginner) to Step 3 (Advanced) and beyond!

Acting, dancing & singing are very important as they are what the audience sees when they watch a performance, but how the show gets from the page to the stage is where the artistry truly happens. Countless individuals come together to CREATE, INSPIRE & SHINE long before opening night. The Artistic Team (Director, Musical Director, Choreographer, Stage Manager), Production Team (Costumes, Hair/Makeup, Lighting Design, Sound Design, Set Design and Build, Props), and many more opportunities to be filled…BY YOU!

Here at Shine On Performing Arts, we offer opportunities for ALL. That means you too, Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa! From age 3-103, all experience levels and ALL ABILITIES! We facilitate growth in every area, through weekly classes, one-time workshops, and pop-up practice parties. Your work may even be featured in one of our upcoming showcases or productions that we present to the community. Whether on or off the stage, everyone has a place to shine in the arts. Our purpose is to help you find your sparkle ~ we love to see you shine!
