“Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances”- Sanford Meisner. Meisner is one of the most influential schools of thought on the art and technique of acting. Join us for a raw and vulnerable exploration of this methodology through repetition exercises, independent activities, and emotional preparation. Break down the walls that have been preventing you from taking your skill to the next level and emerge a more honest and engaging artist. Ages 12+. This is a continuing class.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Marissa Falsone is a multi-award winning actor, producer, and writer based out of Austin. She is also the current Shorts Programmer for Austin Film Festival. Her wide range of experiences on and off camera, on stage, and on the festival circuit have helped her develop a comprehensive knowledge of what it takes to be successful in the film and theater industry. She is a fearless adventurer at heart and when she’s not working you can find her indulging her wanderlust, learning a new skill, or growing her two film and retail businesses. She is thrilled to be joining SOPA and sharing everything she’s learned with the next generation of creatives!
