PERFORMANCE CAMP
Half Day Camp
Ages 10 to 18

Taught by former Disney Princess, Kari Yancy Smith, participants will master the art of portraying beloved princesses with authenticity. Drawing from her extensive experience as Anna, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and other roles at Disneyland Resort & Disney Cruise Line, as well as her professional regional theater career (Ariel in the Little Mermaid, Belle in Beauty & The Beast, Jane in Tarzan and more), Kari will share insider tips on bringing these characters to life.

Throughout this weeklong camp, participants will learn how to portray each princess or villains unique personality and motivation for authentic and memorable stage performances. They will also learn to embody the vocal sound and physicality distinctive to each character. The camp goes beyond character portrayal, covering essential topics for aspiring performers. Participants will delve into improvisation techniques tailored for princess party performances, addressing common challenges they may encounter.

Additionally, Kari will provide valuable insight on pursuing a career as a Disney performer, offering guidance on navigating the industry. Students will take the stage to showcase their newfound skills, portraying the Disney princesses, along with some iconic villains and spunky sidekicks in a magical end-of-week performance!
