JOIN SOPA FOR THIS VERY SPECIAL 2 DAY MASTERCLASS! Learn to audition like a PRO! We are proud to welcome Dr. Eric Vera as he leads us through the ins and outs of Auditions are a professional level. Students will leave feeling much more confident in their skills and ready to take on the audition season ahead! Beauty and the Beast auditions are on 9/12!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Eric Vera is an experienced theatre arts director, educator, stage manager, and performer. He is currently the Education Program Manager at Texas Performing Arts in Austin, Texas. Previously, Dr. Vera served as Assistant Professor in Theatre at the University of Arkansas teaching classes in script analysis, theatre history, and both theatre / musical theatre appreciation. Eric attended the University of Texas at Austin, Department of Theatre and Dance, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Studies and his PhD in Performance as Public Practice. Among various other accolades, Eric obtained his Masters in Theatre Education from The University of Northern Colorado. In addition, Dr. Vera has taught and directed for multiple institutions, even serving as the executive artistic director of his hometown community theatre for several years. Dr. Vera received a First-Class Teacher Award for having experienced outstanding achievement in teaching. He is also a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.
